Water temperatures on White Lake are holding steady in the mid-to-upper 70s, establishing classic mid-summer patterns across the water column. Early morning hours are producing consistent topwater and weed-edge bites for largemouth bass, particularly along shallow, oxygen-rich vegetated points. As the sun rises, quality largemouth and smallmouth bass move out to deeper drop-offs, rock ledges, and submerged wood structure in 12 to 20 feet of water. Utilizing live forward-facing sonar during these midday shifts has been essential for locating suspended fish and presenting drop-shots, Ned rigs, and deep-diving crankbaits directly in their sightlines.

Panfish activity remains exceptionally high throughout Sullivan County waters. Dense schools of crappie, yellow perch, and bluegill are holding tight to deep weed edges and mid-lake brush piles. Vertical jigging small soft plastics or live bait over these schools is yielding high catch rates, offering ideal conditions for family outings and beginners looking for steady rod-bending action.

Chain pickerel are actively hunting along shallow weedlines and transition zones, striking aggressively on spinnerbaits and jerkbaits throughout the afternoon. With stable weather ahead, fishing conditions remain optimal across White Lake—contact Captain Dee Bees with Sullivan Private Charters to check real-time availability and plan your next Catskills outing!
